Universal wet-sharpening machine KNECHT S200/S200BS i S200T/S200BT

Sharpness, cutting angle, shape, and profile of the cutting blade have a significant impact on the quality of the produced products. High cutting speeds up to 180 m per second (equivalent to 650 km per hour) and lateral pressures impose significant mechanical load on the cutting blades. Therefore, a polished cutting edge directly influences its resistance to cracking. Manual grinders have versatile applications for all popular cutting blades as well as circular, hand, and other cutting tools. During the grinding process, the cutting tools are securely and precisely held in the attachments, ensuring safe and accurate operations. The result is a long lifespan of the cutting edges. Automatic sharpeners provide precise and accurately curved edges while maintaining the cutting profile and original blade shape throughout the lifespan of the cutting blades. The grinding processes, depending on the machine type, can be performed with minimal manual intervention, ensuring consistently high quality of the cutting blades.

Advantages

Cup grinding wheel

The cup grinding wheel removes a lot of material very quickly. It is used to easily repair badly damaged cutting tools. Chamfered edges, e.g. on circular knives, are ground on the cup grinding wheel. The required grinding angle is continuously adjustable.

Wet-grinding belt

The wet-grinding belt ensures a very fine cutting tool surface. The profiled rubber contact wheel applies the exact amount of grinding resistance to the knife.

Finned brush

Deburring and polishing of the knives is carried out on the finned brush. The precisely adjusted peripheral speed and the ideally coordinated brush resistance compensate handling errors.

Function disk

Thanks to the patented function disk, the machine is converted in seconds from sharpening sickle shaped cutter knives to linear shaped cutter knives. Thanks to the patented function disk, the machine is converted in seconds from sharpening sickle shaped cutter knives to linear shaped cutter knives. When changing the knife, a locking mechanism prevents the knife from slewing out unintentionally. It can be changed absolute safe.

Circular knives

Circular knives with diameters from 80 – 470 mm are sharpened and deburred on the optionally available circular knife grinding units.

Hand knives

Hand knives are sharpened manually on the wet-grinding belt and deburred and polished on the finned brush.

Grinding belt replacement

The drives are locked when the belt guard is open. The tension on the grinding belt is relieved and it can be replaced.

Swiveling belt grinding device

If the wet grinding belt is used for free-hand-grinding, the belt grinding device can be easily and quickly swung to the side.

Applications

The Universal Wet-Sharpening Machine S 200 is a universal grinding machine for all conventional cutter knives as well
as circular knives, hand knives and other cutting tools.
Cutter knives and circular knives are clamped at all times in attachments during grinding and are therefore guided safely and precisely. The result is a long service life of the cutting edges. For the operators, this means a high degree of safety with minimum effort. A coolant pump supplies the individual grinding stations with water. The cutting edges cannot overheat when grinding.
