Microwave oven SAIREM AMW 400

The French company SAIREM specializes in manufacturing batch and tunnel defrosting machines using microwave or radio frequency waves. The product can undergo the defrosting process both unpackaged and in cardboard or plastic packaging. Radio frequency waves are mainly used for defrosting products in uniform cubes, such as fish. Microwaves, on the other hand, are suitable for defrosting irregularly shaped products. The defrosting process from -20°C to -4°C / -2°C takes between 3 to 15 minutes.

SAIREM AMW Microwave Ovens

The AMW microwave ovens allow for the defrosting and tempering of deeply frozen food, such as red meat, poultry, fish, fruits, vegetables, cheese, butter, etc., in a very short time. The optimal distribution of microwaves in the chamber, thanks to multiple microwave power inputs, ensures a perfectly homogeneous final temperature throughout the product.

Advantages

  • Cost-effectiveness: Save money by avoiding losses caused by dripping.
  • Speed: Very short processing time, below 10 minutes, providing high production flexibility.
  • User-friendly: Loading/unloading tray on wheels, pneumatic door movement, HMI with a 12-inch color touch screen.
  • Uniformity: Excellent temperature uniformity thanks to the rotating table and microwave power inlet above and below the product.
  • Reliability: Requires minimal regular maintenance, except for daily cleaning.
  • Hygiene: No bacterial growth, complies with all hygiene regulations and standards.
  • Flexibility: Can be used for tempering packaged (cardboard or plastic film) or unpackaged food.
  • Compactness: Small footprint.
  • Connected: USB and Ethernet connectivity for remote control.

Performance

The AMW microwave ovens have defrosting capacities ranging from 250 kg/h to 400 kg/h, starting from an initial temperature of -18°C and reaching a final temperature of -4°C / -2°C, which is the optimal temperature for further processing such as dicing, grinding, slicing, or portioning. The defrosting capacity varies depending on the required final temperature, the type of product (meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, butter, etc.), its shape, and fat content. The graphs on the following pages illustrate the performance characteristics. The maximum microwave power that can be utilized for defrosting is limited by the products themselves, rather than the AMW oven. Power recipes in relation to time must be selected to achieve a balance between efficiency and uniform heating.
